I ended up coming across a great pair of k3003i's! Extremely happy with them but as a few others worried about having them recabled if necessary in the future.

Is there any other iem's you guys would recommended similar to these? I was looking at the Flc8's

Lots of filter options but the sig is similar to the k3003

I own the k3003, ie800, se846, and kse 1500. I never use the ie800 anymore. I use the se846 for its bass mainly and for short listening on the go. The k3003 for long periods of time and comfort. Kse 1500 for home use due to amplifier. I'll hopefully pick up the Westone w80 eventually.

Unless you're going for the Shure electrostatic IEMs, this is the best there is.

i had K3003 , it was a very nice uiem (probably me favorite uiem from the few ones i had owned)

but then i decided to go custom and got NT-6 and i forgot k3003 and everything else i had owned before

K3003 is good yes , but the best there is ? nope.

but for 500 euros it's a very nice uiem , true.

Life in audio was much easier back then and your wallet was full.

well this is 2014 we are talking about and i was unemployed then

if my wallet was full i would have bought something like zeus xr - money is always tight and i have to really save up in order to buy these sonic demons every 6-8 months (if lucky)

but i get so much pleasure and enjoyment out of music that i consider it an investment for the well-being of my soul

plus i have reached a point where returns in SQ are minimal , that is the best way to keep the upgraditis demon locked in the cellar

I'd love to buy the se846 except my gf would kill me since I have some trips already lined up for the year lol. Trying not to spend over $400-$500 used/new. I've tried the ie800 at the sennheiser store in NYC, it was great but not exactly what I felt I was looking for. Sadly down in Miami there I can't find any audio stores for iems

Saving up might be the best thing thing to do. Budgeted $500 doesn't get me much from the looks of it.

Look for discount k3003 on eBay. I got mine for $312 shipped.

Currently have a k3003i, looking for anything similar with a detachable cable. Flc8s had peaked my interest

budget ? ciem / uiem ?

Don't believe I would find a ciem for under $500 (Budget) without recasing them. So I'd love a used uiem if it allows me to a better tier.

Thanks proedros

Found your alternative yet? I recommend ATH-CK100Pros
Very similar brightness and tuning to K3003s, only lacking a negligible bit of clarity, soundstage, fullness.

I found k3003s to be very versatile on jazz and lo-fi
