All things equal in terms of hi-res compatability, which provides a more enjoyable experience for the cash?  I know not as many have experience with the D7, but I don't have any experience with either company. I guess my real question, then, is which company tends to provide the highest...

Just like the title asks, I'm wondering what are the pros and cons of both FiiO E17 and iBasso D7.   For instance, E17 has more sound customization through balance, bass and treble, while D7 has async USB with support for up to 24/192 while E17 only supports 24/96 through USB.

Which would sound "better" through usb with the ultrasones?   I like the physical knob, 192khz capability thru usb, and async of the d7, but if the e17 sounds better in the end, that's what I'm after, not portability.   Anyone heard both and can shed some light? Thx lol What
