I've had both and if se530 have recessed highs, x10 highs don't exist. From what I read x10's sound very good when amped. But I used them both unamped and for me it's definitely shure. Klipsch are indeed very comfy but have very bad microphonics. In the sound department for me about every part...

Unfortunately in december I caught a really bad upgraditis.. I went through triple.fi, IE8, Klipsch Image and ended up with se530. I still keep sf5pro as a backup, they're quite old but do the job...

They recently changed the cord color to black (I got such a warranty replacement), the black one is much better, used also on triple.fi. They only come with a metal case...years ago it used to be also the leather one (2006). I bought mine more than a year ago and there was only the metal one...

I bought my se530's last week, production date 28-11-2008. How do I find which cable revision/version I have? They are cracking phones, btw, I like them more than anything I had before (IE8, Triple.fi, Klipsch Image...).
