Bargain headphone nirvana...
I completely agree with what has been said, for the most part. Someone suggested the KSC75s to me, got them for $15..and have been VERY pleased. After a bit of use and slight bending, they fit fairly snug to my ear. I like the fact that they sort of snap apart easily..so nothing breaks...- WillD

The diameter is 4.25", from what I measured at least. That is slightly smaller than a CD.- WillD

A-500s vs. DT880s
Good comparison...and I would hope the DT880 is better since it is more than twice as expensive as the A500. Edit: Also, I am sure you would have no problem selling your A500 on here.- WillD

i need some new headphones.
Yeah, the A500 definitely isn't bassheavy at all. If you like bass a lot, just go for the V6, it is less expensive anyway. With that said, I love my A500s. I'd buy them again.- WillD

Yeah..I just put up with them for the time being. Just walking to class, with all the ambient noise..I don't notice how bad they are sometimes.- WillD

I've looked through the forum here, but I would like some recommendations from you all. My requirements: Under $30. No earbuds. Fairly comfortble. I prefer a neutral sound, not too bass or high heavy. Thanks. Edit: Just FYI..I have some ATH-500s that I love. I don't know if...- WillD

The A500s are 1/8" already WITHOUT the adapter. And no, what I am saying is that not one would be better for the A500s in particular. One of the players probably has better SQ period, but not because of the headphones they are being used with. At this point..just get the player that you want.- WillD

The A500s have a 1/4" adapter, so that would work. None of them would be better for the a500 than the other.- WillD

Honestly just the 280s then..and no amp. You won't notice the difference and you can get the 280s for cheap locally ( I thought).- WillD
