I just got the Audio-Technica ATH-A500. They have been great so far. I thoght I would just show a few pictures. I got the package from audiocuves 3 days after i ordered it. Very very fast and only $7.50.

The package came a little crushed but it was ok. I wish they would have used a Box.

Overall the headphones are amazing and truly great for my type of Music metal/Rock and I also play alot of computer games.

Glad you're happy with your purchase. I recommend you burn them in too, as I remember not reaching their full potential for a while (didn't do conventional burn in... only by using them). Soon enough though, you'll get upgrade-itus. I just posted my impressions of the A500s vs. the DT880s. Not sure if it'd be your cup of tea (metal/rock) but you might find it interesting. Have fun!

i have a question about the a500s. Does anyone know exacly what the diameter of the ear cup is. Because from what iv heard its about the size of a cd, which is HUGE.

Awesome pictures man. I love how the cord is covered. A500s will probably be next for me after my sr60s get burned in. I'm really needing some serious soundstage in games - getting very little with the px100s and eggos.

there is a picture of the A500's or A900's sitting on a manakin head and they are just absoloutly gigantic, i dont think i could ever buy cans that big, but i do hear that they sound great.

But until a better headphone comes out that has the isolation, bass, price, and size of the 280's at least, im stickin with em

P.S. can someone find/post the link to that pic?

Can someone please submit a review of the A500s on my site, it's a glaring ommission of a fantastic pair of headphones that i'd love to have there. Link below.

I'll put up a review when i get around to it. i'm no audiophile though so don't expect anything amazing...

If anybody is interested in the A500s, but needs an opinion, I've posted my review of it on headphonereviews.org

The A500s have their faults but are an excellent choice for the hesitant newcomer.
