    Monster Turbine Appreciation Thread

Mine came with a right angle plug, no Y slider, and a non-functioning right earphone. Yay.  The left sounded nice, strong bass especially.  I'm looking forward to receiving a working pair...

    What to replace KSC50's with?

I have a pair of KSC50's that have a bit of a rattle developing on anything but very low volume.  Additionally, the foam padding has worn through and is about to fall off each earphone.  I believe that these have a lifetime warranty, so I could send them in but I may not get KSC50s back.    ...

    Monster Turbine Appreciation Thread

I originally chose the Klipsch C2's over these a couple years ago because the C2's came out on sale for $50 less than the turbines, but I was never really satisfied with the C2s and wondered what these sound like.  You can't get a much better opportunity to try them than $59.

    Best phones for running

I use my KSC50s while running and they stay secure enough that I don''t worry about them falling off. They sound good, too.

Got my C2s yesterday, first impressions

I want to update this with my thoughts about the C2s given a listening period approaching a month. I didn't return the C2s for a few reasons, among them laziness, but most importantly because I noticed that with subsequent listens I began to enjoy their sound. I no longer remember exactly what...

    My Klipsch Custom-2 are in...

When listening to Tool, Coheed and Cambria, and other music, I feel like the singer and guitars are behind some heavy curtain and are almost muffled. I love the sound stage, but not the sound signature as much.

    My Klipsch Custom-2 are in...

Will Amazon fully refund you for the Custom 2s? I'm thinking about returning the Custom 2s as well as I find it really hard to get past the lack of pronounced mids and highs. Was there any special procedure you followed? If all I have to pay is shipping it back to Amazon, I might return them and...

    C2s vs. C3s

I just got the Custom 2s and their bass is pretty strong. However, you should be aware that the cables cause major microphonics - read the Klipsch Owners Only poll thread. I don't know why Klipsch didn't use rubber from the splitter to each earbud.

Let me know how the return goes - I may do the same.

Got my C2s yesterday, first impressions

I'm coming from E3cs and KSC50s. I got my C2s yesterday and wanted to share my impressions. I wanted clarity above all else, but also stronger bass than my E3cs provided. My first try at fitting these IEMs was frustrating. I tried the medium gels, the large dual-flange, the large gels, and...

Only For Klipsch IEM owners to Vote

I just got my C2s yesterday and I can't believe how loud this cord is. Any small movement of my head sends a rubbing noise up the cable. The woven cable is alright - seems really stiff and still has kinks from being in the box, is also a bit shorter than I had expected. While wearing them, I can...

    Custom 2, Turbines, NE8, NE7?

I just decided to go with the Custom 2s before Amazon raises the price. Let's see how they are.

    Custom 2, Turbines, NE8, NE7?

I have the KSC50s and a dead E3c. I liked the clarity of the E3c but I wish it had a little more bass. I guess I want a neutral to only slightly warm signature at most, but I would like to be able to kick up the bass a bit in EQ every now and then and have the phones respond. I considered the...

    Custom 2, Turbines, NE8, NE7?

My budget is around $100 give or take $15. I want the best sound, don't need a mic/control unit. I like rock and classical, including Staind, Deftones, Coheed and Cambria, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. I'm coming from a pair of E3c's and KSC50's. I've been doing a lot of reading here over the...

Looking for sub-$100 earphones and a beater pair for mowing

The Klipsch Custom-2's are $95 on Amazon while the Turbines are ~$105 on various sites, $150 at Amazon. How do the Custom-2's compare to the Turbines?

Looking for sub-$100 earphones and a beater pair for mowing

How is the warranty handled with the Turbines? Monster's website seems to imply that I can only get warranty coverage if I buy the Turbines through an "authorized dealer" like Amazon, which would be a bummer because I've found several sites that sell the Turbines for ~$100 instead of Amazon's $150.

Looking for sub-$100 earphones and a beater pair for mowing

I asked a while back for recommendations for earphones under $150 to replace broken E3c's and was almost universally pointed to the Audéo PFE's. I've thought about spending that much and it doesn't look like those go for much less than $140. I'll be listening to these using a Creative Zen...

E3c's died (again), repair or replace?

My first set of E3c's (from April 2005) had an issue in the Y splitter to each earphone in March 2007 and now the replacement pair I got back from Shure have an issue somewhere. I can't tell if it's again the Y splitter or if the problem is in the cord's connection to the 3.5mm plug, but if I...

    Shure RMA

Thank you very much. I'm used to PC hardware RMAs where I have to wade through tech support emails and convince them the product is broken before they give me an authorization number... Cool.

    Shure RMA

I just want to be sure that I understand the Shure RMA process. I have a pair of E3c headphones that have recently been dropping audio in the right earpiece and garbling audio in both earpieces when I move the cord around. There's a problem in the wiring between the hub and the earpieces but I...

    It's my birthday present...

Well the thing is, I already stepped my budget up from E2Cs (~$61) to the E3Cs (~$114). Thanks for your input though!

    It's my birthday present...

I was so close to asking for E2Cs when I figured I'd ask you guys some more questions. What's the difference (aside from color) between the E3 and E3C? does one sound better than the other? Can anyone tell me how the ultra soft sleeve sizes are in reference to something like the...
