lack of mids???

When listening to Tool, Coheed and Cambria, and other music, I feel like the singer and guitars are behind some heavy curtain and are almost muffled. I love the sound stage, but not the sound signature as much.

erm are you sure you have them pushed right in? of the things i think they are good at soundstage isnt one of them. also i find them fairly mid focused
