Grado SR125: Makes my ears bleed!!

I should mention also that when I first got my 325is, I listened to them for a good many hours straight, like you, and my ears were red and sore afterward (not bleeding, mind you, but intensely sore). Now that the pads have softened up, I can listen for hours and my ears only become slightly...

Grado SR125: Makes my ears bleed!!

Sorry about the awful seller! What a pig. I don't know which of two pad types to recommend, as I haven't tried either. But I have seen people suggest both are more comfortable than the other, so there's no apparent consensus. I can say that my own experience with the bowl pads was that they...

Oh lord. I sense another hype session taking root, this time for a ridiculously-priced Grado flagship.

    *Confirmed* Grado PS1000 is coming!

This isn't April 1st is it? "325is" - I assume the 's' is not to pluralize. Odd, since Grado emailed back to someone that the difference between the gold and silver 325i is only cosmetic (yes, I am aware of other changes observed by the user geremy). I would think a change in model number...

A look inside the Grado factory

The interior pics of Grado Labs only reinforce my appreciation of the company. I like knowing that I am supporting a small family-run operation. I really don't see any evidence of the workshop being messy - cramped perhaps, but that's because it's in a small row house in Brooklyn! Honestly, I...

Stoke me! SR325i on the way!

I lurve my 325is (good thing). The comfort issues are greatly overstated imo; the pads soften considerably over time. The stock sound is excellent, but remember to try taping the bowls if you want a little more bass.

How Power hungry are the Grado 325i's?

Well, all I can say is that the 325is sound great unamped. I have also heard from more than one person that a cheap amp does not noticeably affect the sound. I don't disbelieve that an amp could improve things on a low impedance phone, but I am very curious to know scientifically how it does so...

So much hating on the 325is. I find them neither too bright nor heavy, just sweet sounding and perfectly comfortable.
