Guitar-fi anyone?
Still making 'em! What you might be confused about is that Fender Japan stopped labeling them 'Made in Japan' and started saying 'Crafted in Japan' when they changed factories years ago. There was always a huge debate about which ones were better, but there have been no real conclusions. For...- kingkevo25

Guitar-fi anyone?
bored, so here are pics of my two best guitars. (old pics, I will take full shots soon) First is my 2009 Fender Japan 62 reissue with Texas Specials. Love this guitar. the '62-65 strat is my favorite of all time. These Japanese Fenders are incredible. Here is my Epiphone Masterbilt...- kingkevo25

No such thing as time - Question about Albert Einstein
I'm an undergrad physics major. Here's what she might have meant: Time requires a reference frame, and in our case that reference frame is Earth..... For example, say we are in a spaceship speeding across the universe, and we want to calculate how may miles per day we move... here's the...- kingkevo25

Post your pictures of your headphone boxes!
I ordered this antique pine treasure chest from woodboxsupply.com, and when it came I was thrilled to find out that the Grado pizza box foam fits EXACTLY into it, like it was made by Grado themselves. It was $35 CAD (~28 usd). Plus engraving and shipping to Cali for Canada was about $30 usd...- kingkevo25

Running Shoe-Fi
I have a pair of Adidas Microbounce+ that I bought a year ago. I'm dissatisfied though. They are too performance oriented and have no comfort or control what so ever (I admit looks were a big factor for me when I bought them). I am looking at Asics gt-2130, which got rave reviews on Zappos and...- kingkevo25

Help with tube amps (guitar)
I have a hybrid amp, the Vox ad30vt. It's alright... has cool modeling features but I too want to get rid of it and get an all tube amp. Valve Junior and the Fender Champion 600 can be found <$200..... both are favorable to the blackheart. The Crate V-series is a pretty good value: V5 is $99...- kingkevo25

buying a new HDTV. Need an opinion on VIZIO
At my parents' home, I have the same Vizio in my bedroom, while they have a 32" Sony Bravia LCD in their bedroom and a 42" Panasonic Plasma in the living room (the Vizio being the newest, panasonic maybe 2 years ago). I have a ps3 (w/ hdmi) and it looks great on each set including the Vizio; it...- kingkevo25

Nintendo Dsi
DSi looks awesome, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have a DS Lite with EDGE and 2gd MicroSD; and I am in gaming heaven. I currently have about 30 DS games, and an SNES emulator with a dozen or so roms on it. All that can be had for the price of a DSi. Though unless you have some coin, a...- kingkevo25

Guitar-fi anyone?
I have an Epiphone Masterbilt and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable all-wood guitar. I walked into the store intending to buy a Taylor DN3, tested a whole wall of acoustics anyways and was stunned by the $600 Masterbilt. Definitely on par with any sub-$1200 Martin or...- kingkevo25

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas
Here's a site i've been digging recently: Etsy :: It may not be your thing, but its this online marketplace where artists, jewelers, craftsmen etc go to sell handmade stuff. Most of them take custom orders and do personalization. It's a really random suggestion, but imo, girls prefer handmade...- kingkevo25

Should the U.S., Myanmar and Liberia be encouraged to go metric?
No big deal, in my opinion. For normal day to day life, US units are fine, sometimes more sensible. It makes more sense, for example, to say "I am 5'9", instead of "I am 1.75 meters tall".... I think that centimers are too small, and meters are two large for daily use, but feet, inches and yards...- kingkevo25

Why are there no headphone stores?
I can't imagine a retail store selling only headphones surviving long. How much sales per day would a headphone store need to stay afloat? Even a shop in a city such as San Francisco would only sell maybe a dozen hi-end cans on a good day, which minus dealercost wouldn't turn much of a profit...- kingkevo25

Sony Walkman NWZ-X1000 (UK out NOW, US version out mid-June)
Wow! It looks impressive. I want to get one, but chances are Sony won't bother with Mac OSX support. If they include some sort of media manager for OSX, I will sell my ipod classic and get this.- kingkevo25

What to get as entry level amp for iPod and laptop?
I would still consider the pa2v2 if you didn't order the cmoy yet. I have one and it's great. PS. about the PA2V2, the batteries on that thing last forever. Spend $5 on two rechargables and you'll only have to charge that amp like once a month (his site says it should run up to 100hr on one...- kingkevo25

Headphone Dilemma 650s/AKG701s/D2000
I haven't tried the 701s but between the HD650s and d2000s I like the 650s a bit more. The D2000 is definitely the better value (especially if Buy.com had them in stock) but they can still be found new for $240 shipped on ebay which is still pretty good. Although I think that the Beyers and the...- kingkevo25

Has anyone met their audio goal?
I don't think I'll ever reach that goal. I just want a system that I'll be happy with... THe problem is, I don't know what 'sounds good' or if my current setup is good enough because I don't really have the chance to compare! I'm now thinking of getting the RSA Pred and d2000 (or keeping my...- kingkevo25

Portable High Capacity FLAC player
Not too many choices. Cowon iAudio A3 might suit you, but it's more of a PMP. I would look into Rockbox, its an open source firmware compatible with dozens of DAPs that has FLAC support. Check out the compaticle players here: Current Rockbox Builds- kingkevo25
