It depends on how many times I've heard the song before... If it's the first time, it can be any of those options, but if it's past that, then I'm most often thinking about the music itself: how the instruments sound, how they're mixing together, beat, tempo, etc.

I have a pair of the original Bose MediaMate speakers and I think that they are... alright. I prefer my D2000s, but, I don't mind listening to them. I just think that they are a bit too bassy.

Well, if I had to choose between the #1 audiophile setup and the home theater (and nothing else, such as investing, lawyers, etc), I would take the home theater. With it, one could listen to music on it or watch movies!
