recommend me a good USB DAC!
I have the Silverstone EB01 DAC from newegg.com for about $92 shipped. One of the cheapest DACs i've seen, but its built very solid and gives surprising clarity for a budget price. I highly recommend it.- AFAI

Upgrade from govibe v5
If you like your GV5 you could upgrade to the Go-Vibe 6, if not then there's the C&C Box+, iBasso P1, Xtra X1, PA2V2, Headroom Total Airhead, among many many others. I got a P1 and i'm very satisfied with it. Sorry i couldn't be much more of a help, but for a good in depth review check out...- AFAI

After you connect a DAC your computer will detect it automatically, and no preferences should be needed to be changed in iTunes. Welcome to Head-fi and sorry about your wallet!- AFAI

New to Head-Fi!
All i can say is, there's a ton of good starter options, open, closed, IEM's, then of course the amps and DACs, it never ends!! Been here less than a month and already spent over $400! Not much by standard, but a ton considering I only expected to dish out about $75 for a decent set of cans!- AFAI

I have a Western Digital My Book, and its worked perfectly for a while now. I've been using WD HDD's for about 8 years, and never had one fail. You can find them on newegg.com for a good price. Another good brand is Seagate.- AFAI
