Hi, after some researching I narrowed down my decision to the jbl 220 ($100 CDN) or the cx-300 ($50 CDN). So my question is are the 220's worth the double in price of the cx-300's. And are these cx-300 real?

I wouldn't buy Sennheiser CX300 if I were you. JBLs can be found on eBay at about 30-50$, and they will be original for sure.

I just got a pair of CX-300s and posted my review here.

I bought them from a seller named "pigheadman", and they're real.

IMO, the JBL 220s are much better than the CX300s. They offer a more balanced sound and more detail and much more controlled bass. They continue to be my favorite mid-fi canalphone and I use them often.

Since you are new, you could also try out the KSC75s.
