i think its normal with noise when change volume on dc-elite. as it is step attenuator, its like a on/off switch unlike a variable resistor switch.

Unfortunately , my Dunnu cable shield disintegarted after almost 5 year. I have a challenge removing it from the z1r. I suggest stick with the stock cable or aftermarket cable with the same m used in the stock cable.

Took the Impact on a flight, it actually isolate quite well. with the music off, i can hear some hiss or low freq noise but none when the music is on. i dont even know or hear the flight crew talking to me.

Someone mentioned Aure is phased out due to DD not meeting their requirement. will there be an Aure replacement since Aur is working to develop DD based on their spec?

seems like communication and managing expectation. ordered the Impact early Feb and received it in mar. Since Impact is a new product, i assumed the are still ramping up production and ironing out issue. May be they can send you a demo unit for testing.
