Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
unfortunately mine does it as well. As the problem is the screen, if you dim the lights the noise is much quieter. that's the only quirks I have with my unit, other than that I love the TT2- wakka992

Just noticed that it is possible to select either Audio passthrough or PCM: I guess PCM is 2 channel... I'll have to ask LG.- wakka992

That's unfortunate: so it will receive 5.1 channel from the toslink and use only 2.0 of them? (don't know, just trying to guess here)- wakka992

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
You are guessing right: a Klipsch engineer at "community.klipsch.com" said that their speakers are listened to and measured in a room, rather than In an anechoic chamber, and that the difference is about 4 dB. Your speaker would be in a range from 90 to 92db (as the Klipsch RP-8000F are rated 98...- wakka992

Hi guys, new to the tread and soon to be owner of a (black) Hugo TT2! Just a couple of quick questions: - if my 3rd party TV decoder/LG TV has Toslink output, will the TT2 be able to downmix from 5.1 to 2.0 channel? Unfortunately with my devices I can't select the number of channel to...- wakka992

Focal Clear headphones
Hi guys, new to the tread and new owner of a Clear Professional. So far so good, still have to give them a good listen and compare them to my beloved HD 650. Only problem I have is with the 5mt coiled cable: I don't like it at all. As the stock Clear cable color scheme doesn't look good on the...- wakka992

Hi guys, I've never experienced thermal shutdown like @Luvdac has, but I can say my unit in desktop mode is always warm/hot to the touch even when not in use. Measuring with a thermometer I get 45° Celsius Degree of the case temperature. I've already putted rubber feet beneath the Hugo 2 to...- wakka992

iFi AC iPurifier - Video Mini Series - The look, the tech, the lowdown. MORE ADDED!
How could a measuring device pick up more noise when something is added vs without? The simpler answer would be that the AC iPurifier does worsen performance. I hope I can be corrected, as I was looking forward to buy two of this gadget to separate LPS and SMPS... I still hope to see @iFi audio...- wakka992

@iFi audio can you please refute what @AudioSpender said with actual measurements graph of AC iPurifier in action instead of a drawn one? It seems strange the result he is measuring with a simple Entec wideband noise analyzer. Thanks!- wakka992

wakka992 reporting from duty! My Hugo2 doesn't overheat at all with the stock charger when in Desktop mode vs other SMPS of greater than 2.1A --> I'll use the stock charger then! Hi Rob, thank you very much for the fast reply! I see, than it can't draw more than 1.9A.... I've always thought that it was warm because it was dissipating extra current, any guess in what's heating up my unit then? My Hugo 2 just entered desktop mode with the stock charger, I'll report back...- wakka992

Dear @Rob Watts, I thank you for providing insight on your product on the forum! I know you're a busy man, but maybe the third time's the charm, so I'll ask again: Does the Hugo 2 draw max 5V 2.1A even if fed by a charger that has more current than 2.1A (i.e. 2.5A or 3A)? If that's not the case...- wakka992

Hi GreenBow, while the iFi Nano USB 3.0 is a great product it doesn't certainly provide Galvanic Isolation (for that there are specific product, the iFi iGalvanic or UpTone Audio ISO Regen for example). It is of course a better product than the stock SMPS, but Rob Watts posted slides that proved...- wakka992

Dear iFi Audio, I've searched around your European distributor and I can't find one that have the AC iPurifier listed at the price you recommend (€109 incl. tax). They all have it listed at €129. Did you change the retail price or they are speculating on it?- wakka992

Hi GreenBow and wldcohso, sorry if I bring up your old post, but I was looking for info regarding Hugo 2 heating up when charged with more than 5V 2.1A. @Rob Watts shouldn't the Hugo 2 draw max 2.1A even if fed by a charger that has more current than 2.1A (i.e. 2.5A or 3A)? Thank for the reply iFi Audio. So your example "we recommend that all linear power supplies are located after the second AC iPurifier but before the third. All SMPS power supplies should then be located after the third AC iPurifier." should be rephrased in "we recommend that all linear power...- wakka992
