You're probably right about a standalone case not being necessary, but I like the idea of everyday wear and tear being inflicted onto a case rather than the unit itself. I'm not a fan of armbands, but I might just have to settle for that if nothing better comes along.

My first generation Clip seems to be on its way out since the battery seems to last about 4 hours max. I was considering grabbing a Clip+, but the M3 seems like a much better player.
