low volume listening
I've read some reviews pointing GS1000 good for low volume listening. I don't own GS1000/i. I've owned K701, DT880, HD600, HD650 but I can't say these are good for low-volume listening.- Murugesh

Question about Sennheiser hd 595's
I haven't heard HD 555 but I own HD 595. Amp is not must for HD 595. Having an amp would just be an improvement.- Murugesh

A comparison between the Sennheiser HD800 and the Sony R10
I had a chance to listen to R10 during Detroit super mini-meet in April. It was a big WOW moment for me. I listened to Patricia Barber's Companion with a setup Meridian 508 --> B-52 --> R10 (balanced). It was soooo beautiful. Unfortunately I couldn't make a one to one comparison between R10 and...- Murugesh

Kudos To KOSS!!!
I was skeptical about Koss products (after purchased a cheap Koss earbud ) 4 years ago. After KSC75, my opinion was changed drastically. Now I've got Portapro, ksc35 and ksc75 with at least 2 pairs each. Haven't tried other Koss products, may be some more gems hiding in them ?!- Murugesh

Help to choice for classical music¡¡¡
IMHO K501, HD600, HD650, DT880 are the phones suitable for Classical music. Each headphone has its unique flavor. So try to audition at least two of these in some meets. To describe the sound in one word, HD600=laid back, smooth, neutral K501=wide soundstage HD650=Dark, bit bass oriented...- Murugesh

Another Grado addict: my sr60i review
Good to see a happy head-fi'er. Enjoy with SR60i. I've had this phone for a while but sold it only last month. I seem to recall some posts saying SR60 to SR225 could be a worthy upgrade because SR60 Vs SR80 SQ difference is rather very small. I'm not very sure on this, may be you can do...- Murugesh

My "New" AKG K701 Impressions (well it's a mini review)
Morph201: I was not trying to say K701 is bad. I have enjoyed K701 and had some pleasant listening experience with it for sometime. It still makes me to tap my toes (even KSC75 does it too)..but I get that toe tapping moment lot more with my HD 650. I would have picked only K701 unless I had...- Murugesh

My "New" AKG K701 Impressions (well it's a mini review)
I'm neither a fanboy of K701 nor HD6xx. Just want to share my experience with K701. When I first listened to K701, I was so thrilled because it poured out abundant details and treble, which I was missing in my HD 650. I listened to 4 or 5 tracks in a CD and I thought I was gonna sell my HD...- Murugesh
