I actually am using the lineout of the indigo echo dj but somehow I'm still able to change the volume using the speaker icon in the taskbar, but not via the volume controller on the card itself (which works fine for the other output).

I see that rockhopperaudio has only the low gain version of mini3 for sale. Since the headphone I'm using is 25 ohms (denon ah-d2000), will the low gain (which I assume is the "extended runtime" option) be sufficient to power it?

I think my Indigo Echo is loud enough and most of my music are above 192kbps. Also, since the D2000 operates at 25Ohm, how much improvement can I notice with an amp ($150)?

i just got the d2000 today and I'm very dissapointed by its sound quality. I can notice only a small difference between this and the sennheiser pc131. I'm using the Indigo Echo Dj with no amp.

here's another question, How do i lock the sampling rate? Sometimes it fluctuates between 44.1 and 96 when I want it to stay at 44.1. Btw I'm using the Indigo Echo Dj on Vista and for some reason there isn't a "lock sampling rate" option

nevermind, it's been fixed. btw, this thing sounds awesome when it doesn't pop. What's the drawback of setting the buffer size to a larger value?

I have installed the 8.2 Vista drivers with WaveRT. I have Selected 1/2 virtual output as the default in Windows I have Set 1/2 as left and 2 as right in ASIO settings in foobar When I try to play any sound using foobar or WMP, the progress bar RESETS to the beginning with no sound coming...

The Denon costs 2x as much as the Senns. Do you think the extra cost is justified? I listen to mostly rock, unamped, and out of a nice source.

if your budget is $100 then i'd recommend the d1000, even though the hd-25-1 is superior, at least you won't have to wait a long time for it to come down in price.
