I just received my first new pair of headphones from my newest batch this year - the D2000.

It has this annoying sibilant noise I can't stand. It's on every song, even FLACs. It doesn't do it if there's nothing playing, like there's a short or something.

As much as I like the unburnt in sound, I might have to just get my money back. These might be too dark for me. Dunno, but I'm letting 'em burn in for now and definitely sending it back by Friday.

=-(

I'm not around them right now, but it was definitely more of a staticy/crackly noise than sibilance. It prolly is a bum pair, but it's just soo upsetting. And I'm still confused as to why it would crackle only when playing music... not when moving the cord while the music's off. Very strange to me.

Either way, I think the highs and mids might both be recessed too much for my liking. The Ultrasones are prolly more my cuppa tea.

It could be a damaged driver. Maybe....
