i find the better the source and amp, the more differences appear in favour of the HD600.

Ive just recieved an mpx3 and the natural sound and realism is blowing away my GS-1. granted its a fair bit more expensive, but it seems tubes add that extra something, including amazing detail that isnt thrown at you, just presented if you want to hear it. i cannot recommend highly enough...

yeah i agree, the intial 2-3 weeks waiting period turned into 6, then 8, then it was installing the piltron, then installing the preamp and then being sent, and that last one was 2 weeks ago. so its hard to say long time to have 2200 odd usd sitting doing nothing.

probably a bit less, 11 weeks around about from when we finalised the specs and payment. for all i know hes already sent it but he hasnt responded to emails in a while. regardless, i cant see mikhail pulling a swifty, hes one of the most respected builders on here.

Michael I tihnk youll find the HD600 with an aftermarket cable like a headphile blacksilver or blackmax, or a cardas will be a treat with the MPX3 for blues. i tihnk youll find the 650 might be a bit overwhelming in the bass with an mpx3, of course it depends what tubes youre running as well.
