Sennheiser Amperior Review
Great review, thanks! You have helped me deciding going for it. I have just just bought a Brand New pair on eBay for £100.30, delivered. I think it was a great deal...- Savant

Audio-gd NFB-29 (Single Ended Master Race lol)
Thank you Casper. It would seem that input 4 is not actually associated with the BNC connector, then. It's very likely just an alternative for input 3/Coaxial. Best!- Savant

Thank you, but if you simply scroll through the Inputs, does Input 4 appear on the display? If so, what initials do appear? Thanks in advance...- Savant

Audio-gd NFB-29 (Single Ended Master Race lol)
I have noticed that Audio-Gd has come up with a 2015 version of the NFB-29. Since I'm not interested in the I2S input, could any early adopter confirm whether the BNC input on the original version actually worked as Input 4? In the 2014 version of the NFB-28 it clearly worked as such, but as the...- Savant

Testing audiophile claims and myths
I absolutely agree with your observations. I had my share of different Amps and Preamps, and a good assortment of Sources, both Digital and Analog, over many years, and I have always found significant differences between just about all of them. I consider myself a moderate Audio Objectivist, but...- Savant

Valhalla 2 review coming soon!
You obviously mean its voltage output? The Valhalla can work as Preamp, not as Power amp. Unless of course you are talking about Powered Monitors?- Savant

Yes, they're quite rare in Europe in general, but they can be found on Ebay and Amazon for very reasonable prices. As long as they perform as expected...- Savant

Thank you for that info. That's is quite disappointing to know. I also dislike the idea of disposing off batteries ad infinitum, not to mention the waste of money... I am also looking forward to Jan's forthcoming Rechargeable Dac/Amp!- Savant

Valhalla 2 review coming soon!
Are you actually saying that the Valhalla 2 sounds like a Solid State amp? What do you consider a typical Tube amp sound or expect a typical Tube amp to sound like?- Savant

Audio-gd NFB-28
A well designed Multi-bit (R2R) Dac is unbeatable in my experience. NOS implementations, on the other hand, suffer from considerable HF roll off, which robs most music of their fine detail, separation and transient attack. I would much rather listen to a well engineered Multi-segment ∆- Sigma...- Savant

PCStep Appreciation, Impressions and Comparisons thread.
Good points, but being rechargeable and 9v are not mutually exclusive. My Neco Soundlab portable v.3 employs Two 9v rechargeable batteries and it lasts and lasts and lasts...;). Besides, it sounds great. The only minus is that it's an Amp only, hence my interest on the PC Step. Perhaps one could...- Savant

Reply to review by 'savant' on item 'beyerynamic DT 150 Compact Closed Headphone (250 Ohms)'
No disrespect, but it does seem rather silly to downgrade a product's rating based on the assumption that others might sound better, even though you either have not listened to them or have not provided anything for comparison here...- Savant
