You obviously mean its voltage output? The Valhalla can work as Preamp, not as Power amp. Unless of course you are talking about Powered Monitors? :confused:

Yes, they're quite rare in Europe in general, but they can be found on Ebay and Amazon for very reasonable prices. As long as they perform as expected...:cool:

A well designed Multi-bit (R2R) Dac is unbeatable in my experience. NOS implementations, on the other hand, suffer from considerable HF roll off, which robs most music of their fine detail, separation and transient attack. I would much rather listen to a well engineered Multi-segment ∆- Sigma...

Good points, but being rechargeable and 9v are not mutually exclusive. My Neco Soundlab portable v.3 employs Two 9v rechargeable batteries and it lasts and lasts and lasts...;).
