I find the jot/Multibit to be a very good match for the XC I find it very detailed and bass is awesome. Its my favorite setup right now.

I’ll be in Tokyo next month and I’m thinking of picking up the 46 with the earbuds. Will this version be multi language. If not where could I buy one in Tokyo preferably since it will be cheaper. If not I will buy one in seoul.

When I first updated I had that problem and the hiss. I got the update to work after reinstalling the same firmware many times and after the last it just started working. I returned the unit for the hissing problem though.

I find this a big problem now that people with the hiss problems are coming out in the open. I would think Ibasso should do a recall for people affected by this problem. I tried a test which helps me dectec the amount of hiss on a few iem's and full sized head phone and here are the results...

I'm still going with the dx80 puts out to much power for sensitive iem's, as I just listened to my dt770 250 ohm And I hear no hiss at all. I tested the hf5 on the fiio x5ii and dx90 and its pitch black so the iem's are not the problem.

I ordered from amazon may try b and h photo the hiss is coming from my Etymotic Research HF5 @ 16 ohms vs the 30+ on your shures so we really can't say anything until someone compiles a list of a setup that hiss. It could be the dx80 is not fit for sensitive iem's and headphones.

I think I might bite the bullet on the dx80 I tried the same sd card in my x5ii in the dx90 and everything loaded faster after a scan vs the x5. Album load was 1-2 sec compared to 10-25 sec on the x5 and folder browsing was about the same. All songs was faster but having 12000 songs guarantees...

I guess I'll wait and see others reactions. I am surprised folders didn't work for you .

I almost gave up on the dx80 but then I saw you said "all music". How sluggish was it, also how fast is folder and album browsing? On the x5 folder browsing is instant but albums have a 20-30 second lag each screen and I wouldn't dare do all music on it.

This is my only fear as I have 12000+ songs and lag is a problem for my fiio x5ii if I use anything except the folder browser.

So can I use ntsf or exfat and use a 64gb fat32 when I need to update?

So I got the x5II yesterday and loving it, I like it a lot. It even drives the dt 770's 250 ohm at 40/120 pretty well to my ears contrary to the 150ohm rating by fiio.I like the manual interface better than the dx90. Only thing left is to try the hd598 and lcd-xc and a/b it with the dx90.
