Regardless of the list price, it should be available everywhere for $349.

In Canada the X5 I still goes for $424, so I expect the X5 II would cost the same in the Great White North.

Ooops! All is fine...nothing to see here :xf_eek:

(thanks)

Don't be embarrassed. Fiio's switched HO & LO on a couple DAPs so far.akes things pretty confusing!

In the early days of Z3 & X5, I remember several people (myself included) plugging headphones into the Coax Out and wondering why all we heard was a high-pitched whining noise

Exactly! HO vs LO switch could be confusing when you're using X5ii naked, but with a silicone skin HO is open while LO is closed with a flap - helps a lot!

What is the maximum number of folders you can have in the root of the SD card?

I suggest 26 (one for each letter of the alphabet) + 0-10, with the corrosponding Artist folder in each letter and then Albums in each artist folder. MUCH easier to navigate this way than loading everything at the root and scrolling forever.

Yup, except I like A-C, D-F, etc.

My brain doesn't process fast enough to distinguish what belongs in each group, LOL!!

So 2 questions

1. how is the final production click wheel

2. I have the dt770's 250 ohm should I look toward the 1st gen to drive them or take the chance with the 2nd gen?

1) Better than gen 1 by a fair margin. More solid and more sure when making a selection. 1 click = 1 movement (Which o didn't find to be the case in gen 1)

The wheel on my tour X5ii felt solid and had 1 click = 1 movement.

Are other tour X5ii like that, or do the wheels have sloppy movement?

Mine was very similar to the original X5 review units.  Smooth, but with not a lot of positive feedback (clicks), and one wheel movement (faint click) definitely didn't represent one menu movement.

Got my 64gb sd card loaded, now got to wait until Monday to test it out...waiting sucks.!

As for wheel responds, I don't think the wheel is even needed, just buttons with accelerated scrolling should work better.
