Is the Astell&Kern100 worth its money
In general i think the answer should be yes but its some time ago that i really looked into the higher end DACs especially because i am kind of on a studentbudget. Buuuut i have found one on Amazon Warehousedeals which would cost around 410 USD minus the 20% from Amazon Prime Day on every...- MrKommander

Well this kind of things are happening frequently first they announce a big sell and then right before it starts the prices are rising and because nobody bothers to check every deal and the pricehistory its mostly unnoticed ^^- MrKommander

Cannot Decide
You could go to a bigger electronic store and listen to several headphones to get a feeling how much bass you want and maybe they also have the ATH M50 and/or the M100. When you are going to purchase the M100 you should also buy the XL Pads because some People have problems with the cushion not...- MrKommander

Cannot Decide
It seems like you are listening to the headphones mainly at home ? If so you could go with the ATH M50 which are cheaper and some of the most popular studio-headphones.- MrKommander

Newbie looking for standalone setup (player+dac+amp+headphone) on a tight budget
Don't know much about Pis because i haven't looked into Linux but regarding Fulla vs E10k i would say the Fulla has the edge to top the E10k by a little bit. The problem for more options is that we are speaking of a low budget area where there aren't as many as you could wish. Maybe but just...- MrKommander

Newbie looking for standalone setup (player+dac+amp+headphone) on a tight budget
You would be surprised how good the X1 perfomes and the X3 II is even better and can be used as a usb DAC/Amp combo for your PC;NAS or Smartphone. Unfortunately the X3 is out of your budget with 249 euro. So you could go with the X1 if you want a portable solution or you could buy a Schiit Fulla...- MrKommander

A few questions on AMPs/DACs and Headphones
The quantity of bass is much for people who like their headphones neutral, so definitely not for beats dr. dre fans at least not for those who think the first generation of beats are good sounding headphones. Regarding the Dac/Amp schiit does really good quality stuff and its a great place to...- MrKommander

Went to CanJam 2015 and now I'm here
If you are a little bit into tech you shouldn't buy the Sennheiser HD 598 but the HD 558 they cost less and you can get the same soundsignature by removing the foam rubber from inside, so essentially you get a 598 for cheaper. Otherwise i would recomment you the AKG K612 :)- MrKommander

New guy
For longer listening sessions its more comfortable with over ear, as for the big head this shouldn't be a issue they are pretty big and they can be used with your phone and other mobile devices plus they've got a lighter shorter cable which is detachable for better portability- MrKommander

FiiO E10K or Asus Essence STX?
Amps are just there to give headphones more power if needed (when headphones have high impedance) and good Amps doesn't alter the sound at all despice hearing it louder- MrKommander

Hi i'm new user i need recommendation about earphone and music
For acoustics you can go with Sennheiser, Grado or Hifiman. What do you mean with you want to know the musician damien rice ? For a DAC i wouldn't go with a smartphone like the G3 it's way to expensive solely looking for music quality, if you are looking for a budget friendly solution go with a...- MrKommander

V-MODA Shield Design Discussion
It depends on your aimed goal the black parts in the picture will be lasered and the white parts will be left in rhe original color. Just remember, that grey shades are hardly possible at orange shields you will end with some lighter orange as a gray shade- MrKommander
