(Im new here and so far its greate btw hilarius avatar choices!
I have a question
I am not an audiophile or something else but i like a good sounding pair of headphones
Note:I listen to music alot but i also game and watch movies
I did my research and i narrowed down all the headphones to two:
The ath-m40x or the sennheizer hd 558 my budget is 100 Euros
I read over here (http://www.head-fi.org/t/737761/audio-technica-ath-m40x-or-sennheiser-hd558) that the ath m40x were not good for gaming or movies.
Now, can i "Boost my soundstage" or something for the m40x? Ireally like the desin and the reviews are terrific
Or shuld I stick with the 558, Im afraid that i will loose sound quality...
What do you think?

The 558 is technically superior and has a larger sound stage.  You have to be OK with an open headphone.

I don't know the prices of cans in Europe, which is usually quite different (regardless of country) than here in the USA.
 
Most low powered devices like computers should be able to power the 50 Ohm HD 558.

Im sorry to say that I really cant get the sennheizer 558
Any other option with an amazing sound quality, a good design and of price range of 100

For those of us who don't know your market (which is most of us), tell us what cans you can get within your budget.
 
The closed 440 is OK, but it's way below the HD 558.

When you live in europe you could get them from the german amazonside i mean shure they are 30 euro over your budget, but i have them myself
and they are well worth the money. And with a little moddification ( removing the rubber tape from inside the shell ) they sound even better /more refined.

About the only advantage the M40Xs have over the HD558 is a louder bass, otherwise the HD558 should be better in all other ways.
