So you prefer the takstar for vocals? I thought, based from what i read, the grado will be clearer in the mids. And more forward. Which i thought is better. Can you elaborate on that for my peace of mind so i can leave the grados alone. :-) Edit: im planning to get an l cush to help the...- bravobs

VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread
Is the gr07 mk2 really a worthwile upgrade to vsd1s considering the price. They claim it has 80% of the gr07's sound, but i have to pay 3x the price. Or should i just be happy with the vsd1 for now.- bravobs

yup. Just a sudden drop in volume at 4khz to 4.2khz . i understand that the frequency graph shows that there should be a dip at that point, but the problem is that it only happens on the left driver.- bravobs

At 4khz, the sound is almost absent at the left driver. The sound pans extremely to the right. I wonder what effect it has on actual music listening.- bravobs

I discovered that my takstar pro 80 has a serious channel imbalance at around 4khz when i listen to a sine wave sweep. I actually use SineGen but this link will do. you'll notice it at around 10 to 12 sec of the clip. But i have a feeling its because my unit is defective.- bravobs

my guess is that the ts671 is older. I dont know about the sound quality but aesthetically it looks like a step down if it is a newer model. it looks outdated, the plug is silver instead of gold, and i think it is made of hard plastic and no metal parts. it is cheaper though. Edit: And man...- bravobs

I dont know if i understood this correctly Takstar TS671 The TS671 is the last headphone you'd expect to find for 44 €. With its huge soundstage, very linear response and an excellent accuracy and naturalness, it comes close to the AKG K701 or Audiotechnica AD900 much more than its price...- bravobs

just how old are the takstar ts-671? This guy looks like his from the 90's while this guy wearing the hi2050 looks like from this decade: Ive researched a little bit and they say the pro80, hi2050 and ts671 all share the same drivers.- bravobs
