671 is better than pro 80?

There is no "better", it's just a matter of preferences. Nobody but you can tell what's best for you. All you can do is read about them and go for the ones that's seem to suit you best. All of the models are pretty thoroughly described already in this thread.

I have both of this cans, They are both great bang for the buck headphones IMO.

Pro 80- If you want a close can with that is dark with good detail and bass go comes with a coiled cable and pleather pads (which I recommend to swap with HM5 pads and do a rope spacer mod). I prefer using it with rock and metal

Hi2050- if you prefer  an open can that is brighter and more airy but not lacking in the bass department comes with a straight cable and velor pads. I prefer using it with classical and jazz

either way you can't go wrong. they are both excellent value for your money.

Cheers!

will this be your first headphones? if so, im confident that you will be happy if you purchase either of the two. but i would personally get the closed version pro80 because of the better isolation.

+1, go for the Pro-80 and enjoy your first step to

Yes, I think Pro-80 will do well for movies.

just how old are the takstar ts-671?

This guy looks like his from the 90's
biggrin.gif

while this guy wearing the hi2050 looks like from this decade:

Ive researched a little bit and they say the pro80, hi2050 and ts671 all share the same drivers.

Where does it say that? Pro and hi2050 have identical looking drivers except pro has more holes open on the back, those also share impedance and frequency response of 15h-25khz. Ts671 has double the impedance and frequency response of 20hz-20khz. Only thing common is the driver size.

EDIT: Would be cool if someone who owns all three could post some pics of the drivers :)

I dont know if i understood this correctly

Takstar TS671
The TS671 is the last headphone you'd expect to find for 44 €. With its huge soundstage, very linear response and an excellent accuracy and naturalness, it comes close to the AKG K701 or Audiotechnica AD900 much more than its price suggests.
Based on Takstar 53mm driver which has given so much joy to the owners of the HI2050 and Pro80 models, they have raised the impedance up to 120Ohm, which on one hand makes it "harder" to drive without amplification and on the other hand, it gives them more control and precision. Yet, it is not difficult to drive them with any amplifier. Its high sensitivity ensures that any amp, sound card, or even a simple iPod's move would drive them easily.

Ok, thanks. It can well be tweaked hi2050/pro80 driver. Thats good news. Bad news is that now I really have to get those. I have no idea how old ts671. Looks can be deceiving. And if it is infact improved version of hi2050 it is of course newer headphone and also the unofficial flagship takstar. I can't really consider hd6000 totl takstar because it seems to be directed more towards average consumer. I have not heard it though but that is how it seems to me.
