    Utterly frustrated with IEM choice

There are some more questions you could ask yourself to narrow your choice down. Have a look at this (excellent) thread which goes into more detail - do you want L-shaped connector or straight etc.: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/r...7-08-a-335851/ As a fellow DnB head I recommend the...

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.

Enjoying them so far - much more detail and separation than my old CrossRoads MylarOne X3. Need to burn them in a bit more before I can comment on bass / mids /trebles, but all seems nice so far. I love the straight connector, solid build and cable - this is clearly meant for iPods and...

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.

After much umming and ahhing over what to replace my MylarOne X3s with, I've gone for these. Arriving tomorrow - can't wait! I hope they're close to the super.fi 5 pro I tested a couple of years ago, they were flipping amazing.

UE super-fi 5 pro vs. UE super-fi 5 (new model)

I'm interested in knowing the differences too. When you say new, I assume you mean the 'Super fi 5 silver earphones' appear to be a much smaller design, single driver. The 'old' super.fi 5 pro is a little more bulky and has excellent sound quality - I don't own a pair but I have tried...

    Upgrading from Crossroads MylarOne X3 -> ???

This forum is brilliant, but it's hard to pick through the recommendations. I am looking for a new pair of canalphone IEMs, to replace my current MylarOne X3s. I listen to everything from bass heavy dance music to romantic and subtle classical music. So I am looking for:Canalphones Good...

Where can you try out IEMs in London?

I'm looking for a new pair of IEMs (probably canal phones) for use with my Sony MP3 player. I am looking for good stores in London that will let you try out various IEMs. Not too bothered on price but I probably won't go above £150 or so for a pair of IEMs. For reference, I really like my...

    New MylarOne: Bijou released

These sound promising. I love my Mylarone classics - but they are a bit worn these days, tie clip has gone, top end frequencies are rattling a bit, left earpiece is held together with glue, but I still love them Time for an upgrade?

    New UE super.fi 5Pro - distorted treble?

Definitely 'as new' from Amazon - but there's something wrong. I'm returning them - a shame, as the sound quality does sound very good and these are well made, but I'm sure I just got unlucky.

    New UE super.fi 5Pro - distorted treble?

At first I thought it was isolated to the right ear - but now I've confirmed it's definitely in both, which seems odd for a new pair. These were bought new from Amazon.co.uk, but I'm suspicious these have had a previous owner who has been a bit trigger happy with their amplifier. It's the...

    New UE super.fi 5Pro - distorted treble?

Hi all, I've just splashed out a lot of money on a pair of UE Super.Fi 5Pro headphones - I've tested them gently and with a medium volume, and I've noticed the treble is causing a lot of distortion (like a blown speaker?!), particularly notable and horrible in classical stuff like...

    HD600 - weak bass?

Woah lots of responses, didn't realise so many people were on this forum! Some responses- 1. I'm driving them with a Marantz PM7200 amp, which is more than capable of shifting some power. 2. I came from a pair of HD500's - they had a bigger. boomier bass. I find that if I turn the...

    HD600 - weak bass?

Was wondering what people think about the bass / treble balance on the HD600s - I know there will be fans and critics but this is my own opinion: I bought a pair of HD600's about two months ago. I've properly run them in with every kind of music you can imagine I'm not an expert on...
