definitely keeping the hd650s seems like there's too much to loose in trading them.

source is av-710, ps1, starquad cabling, and melos sha-1. that's about it. I have a go-vibe, but that's mostly for my im716 and super.fis

I got them at a steal of a price, but they never clicked with the melos sha-1. my friend might be willing to trade his UE triple.fis for the hd650s, and I love the sound of the UEs. but I hate to let the hd650s go if they would be amazing with another amp. anyone have any ideas?

I've got melos sha-1 that works great with the dt880s but I'm thinking of getting another tube amp specifically for the hd650s....thinking in the 400-450 range. I listen almost exclusively to jazz...jazz fusion...bebop. thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

it does sound different. I can't think of anything better for the price. depends on what you think is the best sound. it's not entirely transparent, but I think it's better than my AV-710. for what that's worth. anyone use this as source often?

I had been using a chaintech av-710, and yeah...there's a difference. I'm hearing things I haven't before on a mogwai cd. very interesting stuff. can't hurt to try it for 14 bucks. I'm impressed. I guess this has been floating around a while. it was on arstechnica a while ago
