Yeah you're missing your bass, or that's what you'll be missing if you get them.

They are good on paper or looking at a spec sheet but that's about it. They have decent bass extension but almost no bass impact whatsoever (or did i reverse those terms). They'll play down low, but it's very muted, and theres no punch to it at all. Mids and highs are there, and I actualy enjoy them but the low bass extension and midbass must be on a train to elsewhere.

Mine are going back to Amazon, restocking fee or not. Good thing they're only $24.99. If I had paid full price for these I would probably have gone postal. Judging by the few short in-store demos I've done of the Bose Triports, AE and the new OE model (best sounding), they ALL sound better than these phones. Then again, for those of you that like mostly classical or jazz, they may be the perfect phones for the money.

If any of you like Drum N Bass, or even if you don't, play anything from the album Pendulum - Hold your Colour, on a decently bassy set of cans, then try these and see how bass shy they really are.
