anyone know if these are worth $100 for polk floor speakers?

I'd say "Get them!"

Polk Audio makes good-sounding speakers and this is a great price for a pair of floor-standing speakers. Obviously, they are not going to be "audiophile grade" (whatever that means), but they will give you more than decent sound.

I have the old r30 and they're really decent. I know someone with good ears who compared to bookshelf version to the insignias and said that there was no comparison. The r300 should do even better.

If you shop craigslist locally you can usually pick up a pair of Polk Monitor 10's for less than $100. These are great speakers. Ask anyone on this forum.
