Yes they are. Soundstage and presentation is less refined, more direct, also for me MY aniso hp1 has that magic x factor. This one does not. But it is a really good headphone nonetheless. I clearley put it between hp1 and 3. imho. 0.02cents etc....

I am pretty sure most people would rate is an overrated mediocre thing. pretty basslight to start with. it is good bass. detailed textured and controlled. But not much of it.    The mids oh those delicious transparent wonderful fluent musical effortless mids ( and highs )

I am not even pretending I know anything about what and why sounds good or not, but these are open. So size might not be that much of a factor here. and they DO sound pretty effin epicly good.

Yes they are identical and I havent had the chance yet but supposedly Sansui made a better job of the dampening as it is supected on wikiphonia as well. I am planning a visit to the person who infected me with the ortho virus, and he has an ath2 so it will be confirmed.   Just came back from a...

Yes I have a pair and I do love it. It is my go to phones. Works suprisingly good from the clip+ and wonderfully from everything else, and quita bassy for what it is, also isolation is pretty good better then expected. I was lucky to find a nice pair in eu a few weeks ago.   200 is a bit...

if i was doing public transport a portable amp and hp1 would be my solution :D But riding a bike presents some other challanges. I love the clip+ sounds fine enough for portable use and the size and clip it to your shirt just rocks for bike riding for example.

    Orthodynamic Roundup

bought one 2 weeks ago.   and we do know that the ath2 is quite same just needs some dampening work...   also it doesnt change the fact that 150ohm and 92 db sensitivity will not give you volumes high enough for street use with some very specific DAP exceptions. and as I said. AK120 failed...

    Orthodynamic Roundup

yh3/hp3 is portable but way too powerhungry for portable use. The only ortho I found suitable for running from portable gear is the sansui ssl55 so the ath 2 should be as well, tho I am pretty sure Sansui did something better with the stock config in the cups as I really love my but heard ath2's...

Hok80-2 More bass, punchier bass, and more low end bass. the TDS lacks to low end of the bass. HOK does not. All around I prefer the HOK 80 ( I am listening to that almost exclusively since it arrived ) It is also much harder to drive compared to the TDS.    I am really liking this. On the...
