The bass is incredible with the reference filters + comply eartips. I'm so glad I bought these. I think my sister will love her set as well. She uses some RHAs with the loosest bass I have heard in years...

  I did notice that the audio sounded a lot "warmer" but that was something I actually disliked. It would be nice if there was a shop in my area where I could test out some higher tier Schiit amps before I buy anything but at least I can return anything I buy from them within 15 days.

It's not that it sounds terrible, but I tested my T90s on a more powerful amp yesterday and the extra power seemed to bring out some pleasant bass. It could just be that that amp didn't have a flat EQ but I have heard of others having a similar experience. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

I'm thinking of selling my Vali and using the Modi DAC with an Asgard 2 and T90s. Do you have any insight on this combo? Do you think the Modi DAC will match the quality of the Asgard 2 and T90s or do you think I should upgrade my DAC as well?

An external DAC won't work with the nexus 4 anyway without external power. At that point it isnt portable anymore so really the only thing you can do is use an amp.

If I get a FiiO E18 I will definitely try those fasteners. I would probably put it on my current case and buy a Franco kernel case to switch out with the other when not using the DAC. But I don't have $100 to burn after buying some new IEMs so it'll be a while.

I always thought the E11 was bigger than that. Those fasteners are a good idea though. I cant imagine using those bands they send with them because they would get in the way.   Quote:

I just contacted Fiio to inform them of this feature. I'm hoping to see it in the rumored Fiio E18 which is specialized for Android devices.

It seems as if Slimport may become a standard in Nexus phones and tablets so it would be an excellent feature going forward since it will work on many devices to come.
