I wouldn't expect an additional 16 Ohms to trigger high impedance mode. It would be nice for it to be easily switchable with something like this.- moose392

Ya, its a disaster. There is a rumor that AT&T is considering not selling any more Note 7s at all, even the "fixed" ones. Update: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/10/09/att-is-the-first-us-operator-to-halt-all-sales-of-the-safe-galaxy-note7/- moose392

Im pretty sure the code expires after 30 days...I wouldn't wait till April. From my email: "Your code will be available to download from our server for the next 30 days. After 30 days, your code will no longer be available." Edit: I think maybe you just need to save the code somewhere outside...- moose392

They are probably the cheapest ones. Looking at the pictures and prices, Id say MA325. They might now sell them any more though. I'm actually using my X1s with Comply Isolation Plus tips right now. I probably wont use the free Comply tips since they are missing wax filters. Im sure I could...- moose392

The bass is incredible with the reference filters + comply eartips. I'm so glad I bought these. I think my sister will love her set as well. She uses some RHAs with the loosest bass I have heard in years...- moose392

Beyerdynamic T90 & Schiit Asgard2
I did notice that the audio sounded a lot "warmer" but that was something I actually disliked. It would be nice if there was a shop in my area where I could test out some higher tier Schiit amps before I buy anything but at least I can return anything I buy from them within 15 days.- moose392

Beyerdynamic T90 & Schiit Asgard2
It's not that it sounds terrible, but I tested my T90s on a more powerful amp yesterday and the extra power seemed to bring out some pleasant bass. It could just be that that amp didn't have a flat EQ but I have heard of others having a similar experience. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk- moose392

I'm thinking of selling my Vali and using the Modi DAC with an Asgard 2 and T90s. Do you have any insight on this combo? Do you think the Modi DAC will match the quality of the Asgard 2 and T90s or do you think I should upgrade my DAC as well?- moose392

An external DAC won't work with the nexus 4 anyway without external power. At that point it isnt portable anymore so really the only thing you can do is use an amp.- moose392

If I get a FiiO E18 I will definitely try those fasteners. I would probably put it on my current case and buy a Franco kernel case to switch out with the other when not using the DAC. But I don't have $100 to burn after buying some new IEMs so it'll be a while.- moose392

I always thought the E11 was bigger than that. Those fasteners are a good idea though. I cant imagine using those bands they send with them because they would get in the way. Quote:- moose392

Quote: Is there a website where I can get a case with fasteners or is it home made? Quote: It comes with this functionality enabled without any modification required so you can expect it to work flawlessly. For me its just plug n play.- moose392

Do you have a Slimport adapter? If you do it would be nice if you could test it with some higher end audio equipment. I only have a Yamaha receiver to pair with AT-CKM500's or Beyerdynamic COP's.- moose392

It seems as if Slimport may become a standard in Nexus phones and tablets so it would be an excellent feature going forward since it will work on many devices to come.- moose392

Slimport is only made to output video and audio through HDMI. As far as I know HDMI cannot be converted to USB for external DACs. Therefore it will require a HDMI audio receiver or a special slimport DAC. For portable use I dont think the HDMI receiver is practical so someone should develop a...- moose392

I just tried using a slimport adapter connected to an audio receiver through HDMI. Through the audio jack I normally get lots of fuzz but it seems that using slimport the internal amp and DAC are bypassed. Thus the audio quality is much better and I cannot hear any fuzz. Can everyone else with...- moose392
