Anyone knows if the 801 w/o game amp will produce any hiss when using with IEMs?

I read that the 5g is unable to take the 240gb while the 5.5 is able to. Also, is the included backplate in that package sufficient to accomodate the hdd or do I have to get another? Any explanation for that and what happens if I use it on my 5g anyway?   Thanks.   Quote:

Hi, I'm contemplating purchasing the 2SD but I will like to know how much better is this amp as compared to the ibasso p4/d12? I know for one this amp is pretty hyped on head fi but I just want to make sure this amp is truely as spectacular as the review say they are and not a FOTM thing.  ...

I think the main difference is their ability to drive full size cans like the HD600? I've tried listening to the HD600 on the ibasso d12 and it just does not work out because of the lack of power, the headphones just sound weak and soft.  

In general, how does this amp match up to the JDS Labs C421 since they are both around the same in that price range. Considering pairing the amp with my upcoming Heir Audio 8A and iPod Classic 160gb.
