For me the best sound card are the external soundcard from RME and the like. My friend got a RME Hammerfall and it sound sooooooo good it hurt. But it sure cost way more than Juli@ and the like. I for myself use an EMU 1212m and it sound pretty darn good, especialy for the price i paid for it.

This would be an awesome transport to test the difference between different transport and if that actually affect the SQ or not. Let the battle begin! :P

I just sold my DA-10 and by removing it from my stereo chain, i can say, even with my pretty cheap studio monitors, that i will be missing a lot without this DAC. I hope i can get satisfied with my Emu 1212m setup
