    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

There's definitely something going on with ANC. Not sure it's caused by the firmware update. The infamous "vacuum" effect that causes dizziness and headaches is completely gone. The ANC is still there, but somewhat different...

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Yes, whenever I'm not holding my head straight, for example if I look up - the M4 headband threatens to roll off to the back. That never happens with HD650 or even with 1.5 pound LCD-2. The headband surface is slippery.

    Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

The MTW3 sound definitely better, but they share similar midrange clarity.

Headphones you regretted buying the most

HD595.   Its itchy sound signature made me think there was something wrong with my hearing. It has set me to the endless upgade path that eventually led me to LCD-2.   Had it been ATH-M50, it would probably end being my only headphone.

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote: I keep reading about LCD-4 like it's a solid roadmap goal, but I believe Alex was only quoted of "known things to be improved in the future, and maybe a new generation in a year or two". Personally, what stops me from buying LCD-3 now is not an expectation for a superior...

    Audio-gd Digital Interface

Hi. There's a slight problem with my DI. Seldom, while beginning to play a new song, the sound balance would travel half way left and stay there. I've checked the balance settings, but they seemed OK. Turning ON/OFF or switching source forth and back seems to solve the problem, but I'm...

    New Audeze LCD3

That would obviously trigger immediate opportunity to compare the LCD-2 and LCD-3, and establish a logical opinion about its strengths and weaknesses. I believe Audeze would want exactly the opposite - create a irrational hype around a surprising appearance of the successor of a highly...

    New Audeze LCD3

To answer the first part of your question:   I own a Rev1 pair of LCD-2.   I once ran a test: continuous sound with constantly increasing frequency (the sort you can find on youtube). The quality of such test is surely questionable, but when the sound wave ran through 6-8Khz, I could...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

I was wondering if anyone investigated the "creaminess" of rev-1 sound comparing to rev-2.   From what I've seen, the 500Hz square wave plots looks almost completely the same, Rev2 actually being even slightly less distorted. Which may or may not prove the opposite of my understanding of...

I've seen EMU 1212m mentioned in this thread.   I'm using EMU coax out ->Audio-GD DI coax In -> Buffalo32S ->.. and there's something very smooth in the sound, only apparent after a few seconds. Comparing to straight USB ->DI -> Dac... (which sounds great as it is), involving the EMU card...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

Quote: I have my head slightly forward and slightly looking down, and the LCD-2 turned slightly toward the back of my head. So the headband rests exactly on the top of my head in it's current position.   As for the "A" position relative to ground - take the LCD-2 off, hold a...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

Quote:   I went to a Nazareth concert last summer, and due to enormous amplification and horrible acoustics  I'm sure I got hearing damage, resulting in minor high pitch tinnitus and not being able to hear anythig above 17Khz (I'm 32). So this summer, when I got Dream Theater tickets...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

Quote: I literally ROFLed. :D   I guess we just turned the whole rodent kind against us.   Back on topic of the Rev1, vs Rev2 : it's all about physics.   Thinner and lighter (lite-er?) diaphragm is easier to push, has more resolution, low amplitude high frequencies and...

    Audio-gd Digital Interface

Overclocking is great, but it might not be the best idea if you seek maximum audio quality from your computer.   When you accelerate your processor (in your case - 30%), you most likely raise the voltage, and then you need more cooling, etc and at the end you put a lot of strain on your...

    Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

I'm posting in attempt to cheer up all the rev1 owners.   After having all those bright, screamy, fatiguing and simply distorted pairs of headphones - listening to the LCD-2 was like curing my ears. The relaxed smooth sound is all I ever dreamed of. The exact texture and the intimacy of...

    Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread

Always protect you hearing. It's priceless. LCD-2 can withstand much much more, the drivers are being tested at extreme wattage.   Of course I'm not judging, I'd probably act the same before I read about the driver's durability tests Audez'e run.

    Bel Canto DAC3 or Audio-GD Reference 7S?

Hello. I've been lurking for quite a while, digging information about sub-$1000 DACs.   However, I have an opportunity to buy one of those (Bel Canto DAC3 or Audio-GD-Reference 7S) used, for around USD1200 give or take. Both of those are practically beyond my knowledge horizon. Bel...

    LCD-2 and treble.

I'm listening to Snowy white - In Our Time of Living, and the highs - mostly cymbals - are piercing. My LCD-2 graph shows significant fall around 8 Khz, but then a miraculous "resurrection" from 9 Khz and above. I'm satisfied with the sound to say the least. I guess it's all work in...

    Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread

Hey there. I've got my LCD-2 for over a week, and I absolutely love them. However there's a strange thing: It seems like they almost need a daily burn-in. When I come back from work, they sound dry and dull. After around a hour - hour and half of playing they start to shine. And by shine...
