For me the Beyerdynamic DT 990 , the treble on those things made me sick to my stomach . The Beyerdynamic Dt 770 wasnt much better , so no more Beyerdynamic for me .

I have owned both and the LCD-2 is the clear winner , no contest . The GS1000i was very unforgiving for poor sources and had way to much sibilance for my liking .

I'm surprised more people are not writing about the grant tube dac . For the price its a great value it powers my sennheiser hd 650 with zero complaints

4g ? I just got the 3g . On a side note I ordered Dec 25 and received Feb 15. Using it with senn hd 650 , Beyerdynamic dt 770 and Grado sr80i , fantastic amp so far.  

I am definitely interested in the Alessandro ms pro, Grado's are not that easy to come by in Canada and Alessandro are apparently very friendly to shipping out of country . I also like the idea of a RS1i that a little less on the  bright side.

I like my hd 650 but I always feel like something is missing in the top end . I was going to try the K701 but after reading all these mixed opinions I am having my doubts . I heard the LCD-2 is an improved hd-650 so maybe I will go that route .
