Hi I got the Nuforce Icon Mobile assuming it would be a decent step up from running off the jack out on my HP laptop. It wasn't the step I hoped it would be. I'm not using the amp much while on the move, but I travel a bit and need something that's easy to cary around in my laptop bag...

My Beyer DT231 has been with me since 2004. The headband had to go, and the cans have been dampened a bit. I once bought the DT250-80 but returned them because the DT231 was doing such a good job.

Have only heard the HD595 briefly and I did not understand why they are getting much praise. I'm listening to rock though, and that doesn't seem to be the 595's strongest point. There's some info on these phones to be found here, like this one...
