I also really like the 1 notch white for general listening on my AFCs. For well recorded jazz and classical I go no inserts.

Really liking how the AFC sound out of my Questyle 400i.

Just want to chime in. I also got the Fenestrated Sheepskin Earpad from Dekoni and what nahpungnome said is spot on. The midrange does come up quite a bit and sounds smoother. The shouty treble peak isn't really there anymore. Colored me surprised.

Synergy is definitely the word. My Elears are grooving with 400i. It so good and effortless.

Just picked up a pair of Elears. Thinking about upgrading to the Lyr2.   Any recommendation for starter tubes?   Hoping to get pointed in the right direction.

More thoughts on the Elears.   It reminds me of my band/music days,   I was always seated in front of the snare or bass drum (I played the trumpet).   So I could always feel the snare or the bass drum.

Jesus, listening to Jamiroquai on the Elears is like an assault on your senses.
