    D-NE300 and G-PROTECTION

If it's anything like my EJ360 then the setting is "inside" the player. It's a little switch under where the CD goes. So just open the lid and you should see the switch

    New iPods...

Does anyone have the release dates of the previous iPod generation, this could maybe help estimate the release of the 5G iPod. EDIT: Googled a bit and iPodlounge had a brief history of the iPod: 1G Nov 2001 2G July 2002 3G Maj 2003 4G July 2004 So looks like the summer of 2005 is a...

    k240s or MS-1s unamped

I prefer my AKG K240S to the Grado SR60 and SR80 that I've heard. The Grado had an involving sound, but the highs just pierced my eardrums, I felt like I was being fed razorblades directly into my ears, not very pleasant. The comfort of the Grados are horrible too, it may be alright for very...

    Just want only one AKG

The K240S (or K240M) can be had for less than $100, and offer great bang for your buck. I haven't listened to other phones in the AKG lineup, but I enjoy my K240S very much, and I doubt that you will be disappointed considering the low cost. The are very comfy too, but your ears will start...

Where have the ATH-FC7 fans gone?

I think the FC7 fans are still here, or maybe they have just found the perfect headphone for them and don't use the forum any more I have them too, and I like them alot, but the comfort could be better, but after having used them for 3-4months it has got better, and I can use them...

Noob looking for first good headphones <100

You should also consider the AKG K240S, they are simi open, and very comfortable. I personally prefer them to the HD555, but I haven't tried the A500 so cant comment on those. The AKG are also very cheap in the US and offer great bang for the buck

    Upgrade conundrum

I recently got a used pair of AKG K240S off this forum, and theyare very enjoyable. Before I purchased I tried a number of headphones, mostly Sennheiser (580, 600, 555 and 595) and almost bought the 595 from Germany, since that could save me quite a bit of money compared to buying from a local...

Did you give any headphones as a gift this year?

I got my dad teh Sennheiser PX100 and he likes them alot, he's actually listening to them right now. For my brother I bought the Philips SBC-HS900 to replace his old and broken Philips headphones. I was not that easy to find some circum-aural and portable headphones that I could afford to...

    www.headphonereviews.org

Hmmm, the site is a great idea, but it's going to be very very hard to get "fair" reviews until tens or hundreds of people have reviewed each headphone. Maybe you could make teh option to n/a the "improves with amplification" if the reviewer does not have what is considered a good headamp. I...

Can a MINT drive an AKG K240S (55 Ohm) well?

Heavy amplification is not a must. They sound okay out of my onboard soundcard, and they sound great from my NAD T741 receiver, so a MINT should ahve no problems driving them.

    Comfort#1 <200$

Sorry for nitpicking, but the AKG are Austrian not Australian, and availability is not an issue in the US. The are very comfortable, but the pads are pleather and you will begin to sweat. I ahve never tried a pair af headphones that do not heat up you ears, but I think that the Sony F1 that are...

    Amazon running Sennheiser clearance - HD555 HD515 EH-2270

Hentai have you even heard the 5X5 series? I compared them (rather quickly) with the HD 580 and HD 600 and the differences are there, but they do not differ so much from the 5X5 series that you can brush them off as "sucking".

    Amazon running Sennheiser clearance - HD555 HD515 EH-2270

I've tried the whole Sennheiser HD5X5 series from a high end Marantz CD player amplified with the Creek OBH-21SE and found the 555 and 595 to be very very similar, but the 515 is a different class altogether, and I didn't spend too much time with them since the price difference between 515 and...

a900 pads flaking, replacement pads? (edit: 50 dollars ahhh!)

If the pads from the Air series are the same size as the A500/900 then you could buy a pair of AD300 for $59 and use the velour pads from them, thats only $9 more than a pair of pads alone.

best portable phones that...if possible.look cool?

I own the FC7 and find them to be a near perfect match for my portable needs. They look pretty good too, not too flashy or big, and they fold making it possible to fit in my jacket pocket. They are fairly priced (teamdigital.net have them for $45 and bluetin.com for 37euro). They have just been...

Just picked up a pair of these...

I can't help you directly with the A900, since I haven't tried them, but I use the family computer which is in my brothers room, and he regularly watches TV while I sit at the computer, and even using open Sennheiser headphones HD 433 or my Audio Technica FC7 (closed) it shuts out most noise...

Audio-Technica Air velour pads on A500/A900?

I don't think that is true, I have read several threads with people complaining that after only 6 months of everyday use the pleather begins to tear off.

Audio-Technica Air velour pads on A500/A900?

Since alot of people seem to have problems with hte durability of the pleather pads of the A500/A900 I wondered if it is possible to swap the pleather pads with the velour pads from the Air series. If so you can buy a pair of ATH-AD300 for $59 (almost as cheap as replacement pads for A900)...
