Questions for Canon Speedlite owners.
For what you shoot, a flash will change your life. All the shots you did on ISO 800+ you will be able to do at ISO 100. Plus, bouncing the flash, off-camera cords and/or transmitters, and using diffusers will make the lighting very even and give you incredible control over your shots.- dima1109

good place to buy used DSLR?
POTN without a doubt for Canon gear. A good condition 40D can be had for under $700 easily, sometimes even for ~$650.- dima1109

K271 Mk II vs DT770 pro/manufaktur vs ATH-A700 vs HD 600 vs D2000/5000
I can only speak for DT770 and D2000. In my opinion, the Denons absolutely blow DT770s out of the water and into a brick wall. Better bass, much better highs, much better mids. You really have to hear the two to realize how much better they are.- dima1109

Lets Talk Metal
Quote: May I bust into this thread? Me: Old Fart but always looking for new good music. Some of you mentioned Opeth, so i took a look on youtube and liked what I saw. Based on that I crossed my fingers and ordered the Lamentations DVD. Got it yesterday and was completely blown away. I had... -
Headsix - right channel loder than left
Hi all, I've been noticing a strange and extremely annoying trend with my Headsix. The right channel volume seems to be a little higher than left. It's very evident on approximately the first 15 degrees on the knob, then it evens out a bit, but never fully recovers. I notice it both on both...- dima1109

Have a Headsix, love it, but need something more jeans-pocket-friendly
Hi all, I currently have a Meier Headsix, and I love it. It pairs up great with the D2000, as well as SE530s. However, after getting the Shures about a week ago, I realized that it is very beneficial to carry an amp with me, as it fills in the cracks in the sound produced by the lame...- dima1109

You know you're an audiophile when....
... When, walking around a college campus, you keep looking at people's heads wondering if they are wearing any headphones worth noticing. ... When you come back home and post in the "Headphone Sightings" about all the ones that are.- dima1109

IEMs for metal, D2000 sound, ~$300
All said in the title. I love the D2000 sound, and I want some IEMs to compliment them. If anything, I would love a bit more bass. Also, I would mostly use them on airplanes, so isolation must be good. Thanks!- dima1109

If you had $400 to spend...
Hm. I can only speak from what I've read here on the message boards, as I listen to metal myself. I think people often recommend either Sennheiser HD 650 or AKG K701/702 for classical music. The HD 650 has very warm sound with some bass presence, while the AKG has very nice highs but somewhat...- dima1109

Denon AH-D2000 in the house
I know this has probably been addressed numerous times, but how does one prevent the earcup pivot screw from breaking? It looks and feels pretty flimsy.- dima1109

Headphone for metal and games. DT770/880/990, HD650, PRO750
I hated DT770s for metal. Too slow, too warm, not enough bass impact. Denon D2000s are magical though.- dima1109

The Canon Thread
From my short experience with the 55-250, it's very useful for medium to longer FL's. I really only use it at 200+ mm. For shorter stuff, I use the 50 mm 1.8 or the XS kit lens. I've been looking at 70-200 f4 IS, it looks very attractive, but I could never justify buying one for the kind of...- dima1109
