Based on the above I am apparently not an audiophile.

But, in my mind, off the deep end would be the following:

When you get more excited about a new headphone release than an album from your favorite band.

You realize just how bad most people's music listening systems are. And laptop speakers? Christ almighty. Why do people even bother putting music on?! Ugh.

Maybe I should put up a youtube video about how my ERS paper, magix levitation feet and valhalla power cables improve sound quality. Do you guys think that would work?

When you wear ear plugs at loud events(have to protect those golden ears).

When you hear your car radio and think how nicer this song would sound on the rig.

When you see a Bose advertisement and laugh out loud.

... When, walking around a college campus, you keep looking at people's heads wondering if they are wearing any headphones worth noticing.

... When you come back home and post in the "Headphone Sightings" about all the ones that are.
