Foobar and Ibasso D6 Dac glitching/skipping sound
Hey ya'll, I am trying to use Foobar with my Ibasso D6 DAC, but foobar keeps glitching and the sound skips momentarily. It is really annoying. I have tried to adjust the buffer in Foobar and that doesn't help. It is actually better at the default 1000ms than when you increase the buffer...- zdkaiser

Grado SR 60 Vs SR 80
personally, i like the sr60s better. they are bassier with a little less brightness than the 80s. to me, them just have a more "fun" sound to them. anything about the SR80s and the brightness just causes fatigue for me.- zdkaiser

Kozee Sound Solutions ** MAJOR CS ISSUES - NOT RECOMMENDED (info in first post) ** Custom IEMs & Reshell review
I had an issue with one of my reshells. The sound became sort of quiet in one ear. Adam was quick to respond to my email inquiries and fixed the reshell with a pretty quick turn-around. It seems like Kozee is doing much better with their customer service.- zdkaiser

Kozee Sound Solutions ** MAJOR CS ISSUES - NOT RECOMMENDED (info in first post) ** Custom IEMs & Reshell review
So, I received my reshelled Klipsch Custom 3s from Kozee last week. I used them for about 2 days now and am in the introductory stages, as these are my first Custom IEMs and my first listen to Custom 3s. So far I can say I am somewhat pleased. Everything I asked Kozee to do when making my...- zdkaiser

Just got the Fedex tracking number for my customs from Adam. They should be here in two days. I will post pics when they arrive. I don't know what color they are going to be. I asked for something similar to the "Merlot" color Westone offers. Let's see what Adam came up with.- zdkaiser

advice for casual music listener
nick, to answer your question, i use my beyer 770 pro 80s with an ibasso D6 and it is wonderful. i'd say go for the 770 pro 80s and get a nice little amp/dac combo (maybe in the used market), and you should be set. i use my pro80s with an ipod classic, an Asus laptop, and through my Denon home...- zdkaiser

advice for casual music listener
nick, Get the Beyer DT770 Pros, in the 80 ohm version. To me, they sound just fine out of any source. They will be perfect for electronic music and hip-hop. Plus they are built like tanks. They will survive college and then some. The cable on these headphones is long though. 10 foot...- zdkaiser

where do you download good quality music
I have seen Western Digital 1TB hard drives at Target for $40 USD new. Storage space is no longer an issue today. So, give me 24/96 HD files! It is a no brainer. Even if there isn't a huge night and day difference in 16/44.1 & 24/96, I appreciate the HD versions better, solely for the piece of...- zdkaiser

USB DAC/Amp for 300 ohm Cans (title change)
i cannot complain about my D6 & HD650 combo. Love it. Plus D6 does 24bit/96khz via USB. If you have HD FLAC files, the D6 is great for a portable amp/DAC.- zdkaiser

Question for JH16 IEM owners?
I am thinking about seriously opening my wallet. Teetering on the edge. I am looking for some insight from current JH16 owners, as to the specific sound signature of these IEMs. Mostly, I am wondering about the JH16's treble output and how it compares to headphones I have owned in the...- zdkaiser

Question about Customs... Need advice from experienced owners...
I am thinking about plunging into the world of custom IEMs. The type of sound I like is mellow, yet detailed, with a bit of a good bass punch. Something along the lines of Senn HD650s or Shure se530 (but a little more treble than the Shures). What do you all suggest with a similar sound...- zdkaiser

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I just bought my HD650s new from J&R for $339 with free shipping. They originally quoted me $369, but then I explained I found them for $349 via ebay and the authorized Senn dealer Razordogdeals. After I told them that, they dropped it to $339. Totally worth it.- zdkaiser

I made the switch... K702 to HD650.
Well, the more I listen to the HD650s, the more I am enjoying them. I am not one who really believes in a "burn-in" process, so to speak, but I am getting more used to their sound, and I am liking it. Somethings I should note that I like about the HD650s, as compared to the K702s. 1...- zdkaiser

looking for 1000$ price range headphone recommendations
Personally, I think the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro - 80 ohm headphone may suit your tastes. It is quite bass heavy though. It is solidly built and has pretty good isolation. It would suit you well for portability, and isn't too "amp-dependent." Also the Sennheiser HD25-1 II, is supposed to sound...- zdkaiser

I made the switch... K702 to HD650.
I think it was a wise decision. As far as sound signatures go, I think the HD650's suits me better. The AKGs were just too frail and thin. They did shine at times with certain genres and songs, but more often than not, I was left fatigued and wondering why they sounded lousy. I tried EQing them...- zdkaiser
