FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Does anyone know if the e07k can take and play inputs from USB and the minijack simultaneously? I'm currently using a Behringer UCA202 at my desktop - it's playing the role of sound card for one PC, and taking analog audio from a second so I can hear both at the same time. I essentially want...- Mumrik

Headphones at for at home and on the go with CowonS9?
Quote: It's kind of hard to call V6s and KSC-75s inefficient. Well, what can I say? I have excellent hearing I have the S9's region set to other than Europe When I listen to podcasts to fall asleep (insomniac) I put the volume in the 7-12 range. When I'm on foot or...- Mumrik

Headphones at for at home and on the go with CowonS9?
I own the S9 and you'll need something very efficient with this DAP. The power of the output was a disappointment to me (and no, I do not have it running with the limited EU setting) and I'm constantly using it close to the max when I'm on the go. I've used it with KSC-75s and Sony V6s and it...- Mumrik

Ever regret taking a "break" from head-fi?
I always end up taking looong breaks out of consideration for my finances. I can't help noting the late join dates of most of the active people here.- Mumrik

Headphone and Gear resolution - do you hear the glockenspiel?
Just checked out Human Nature: I hear it listening through BeyerDynamics DT990 --> cheap Beringer mixer --> Onboard soundcard --> 128kbps mp3-file - so I guess it doesn't take much :-) It sounds a bit synthetic though, but honestly - it might be just that.- Mumrik

Games soundtracks: anyone listens to them?
It is beyond me how this thread got to page 5 without anyone mentioning the soundtrack for Grim Fandango. Man it's cool. Jazzy, big bandy, slightly mexican stuff... -
First Time Opeth > Any Suggestions???
Damnation - was that the "soft" one they released? It's funny, 'cause while I love all their soft stuff, I really didn't like damnation. It lacked edge. I'd recommend Still Life. You get a lot of high energy stuff, but you also get beautiful softer tracks like Face of Melinda (a personal... -
How do I open up my HP890s?
(Feel free to move this to 'Headphones' if that is where it belongs) There seems to be a loose connection in the micro jack in my Philips HP890. I'd like to open up the left cup and take a look at it, but I can't see any screws anywhere on the cup itself. Is there a trick to getting this...- Mumrik

Pros and cons of Diff types of Broadcast, PAL Etc.
Sorry, I don't want to spend the time looking right now (google should give you plenty of info), but I think the rough comparison is: Image resolution PAL > NTSC - Framerate PAL < NTSC Am I right guys?- Mumrik

For AMD systems: Don't go for the Via KT400 or KT400A (soon available), nVidias nForce2 IS faster (read this if you want more info), Asus has a nice board for your purposes... Also, unlike QDI, Asus has a history of producing quality. For any system: Check out the Radeon 9700/9700Pro. If...- Mumrik
