Is the Hifiman HM-601 worth getting?
Quote: Not to mention most retail artist albums and compilations aren't even encoded at 24-bit/96Khz audio, right? If I'm going to invest in something like this, I expect it to be better than CD quality. For now, I'm living with my ALAC/AAC 320kbps library for now.- cs1323

7th Gen (2009) iPod Classic 160 SQ
I've got a 5G 60GB iPod and yes, I can somewhat tell a difference between the '07 Classic and '05 iPod 5G. The 5G seems to put out better bass and sounds closer to the original recording versus the Classic. While the Classic may sound kinda cheap, I have to say I've gotten used to the...- cs1323

7th Gen (2009) iPod Classic 160 SQ
Don't mean to reply to a really old topic, but I went through 15 pages already. Has anyone actually owned both 2007 and 2009 iPod Classic models? Can anyone who has used these players extensively come to a conclusion to which sounds best?- cs1323

iPod Classic Firmware 1.1 WARNING
Thanks for the tip @ the OP. This may be a different matter, but after upgrading to 1.1.1 a week or two ago, I noticed that my iPod Classic started pausing in the middle of my music -- while driving to and from work, about two or three songs in my mix this happens. So far, it has stopped...- cs1323

Trying to find the "right" headphones for my MP3 player..
Yes, the Apple in-ear headphones pack massive bass. And I listen to a lot of hip hop and trance music on my iPod too (EQ setting on Electronic). Even if they don't work well during exercising (they keep popping out), they are still very good, imho.- cs1323

I have a question and I'm not sure at all where to ask it. So, here I go. My question(s) is/are: Are 320kbps MP3 files ranked among the best formats to use? The format "MP3" has been around for awhile, but why is it still used? Is it still used because so many people have converted to...- cs1323

iLounge confirmed audio defect gone in 5G iPods!
Hello! First of all, I haven't posted in a year! Second.. what does 30 fps look like? Is it DVD smooth, no quirky feelings of choppiness or anything? Btw, at iTunes you can preview video clips.. does the size of the preview window supposed to be the size of the iPod? ~Thanks for any answers- cs1323

The square model was created so that it could fit inside a dock with speakers basically. IMHO, the square shape is totally uncool looking. that's just me though.- cs1323
