The pictures in that guide are broken (http://www.audio-gd.com/R2R/DI20/DI20EN_update.htm) and I couldn't download the 16.1 quartus software without some kind of account.- NujaBlessed

I mentioned that I like the sound more through the pi2aes spdif, otherwise I wouldn't be asking the question... but I shouldn't be limited to the USB only regardless, otherwise why include a spdif in.- NujaBlessed

Audio-GD DI-20
Hi there, I recently bought the di-20he and just encountered my first issues with it. There is a sample rate or bit rate (or both) mismatching issue between my pi2aes coaxial out and the di-20he coaxial in. I have tested the pi2aes separately in my chain with no issues, but with the di-20he...- NujaBlessed

I think the hd598 are quite good for just warmth and a wide soundstage, or if you prefer closed, the ultrasone pro 750 is also pretty musical. Good amp for 300$ or so would be to me the bottlehead crack. Slightly warm sounding while retaining clarity.- NujaBlessed

Quote: HD800 to me is just in every aspect an upgraded q701. if you want a complement, you could realistically look into the HE-500 which will sound musical but still be very refined. the 650 is also a complement, very dark and will be quite a bit more bassy than the q701.- NujaBlessed

I just think it gets overhyped to hell. I'm not at all saying its bad, just that its not the end all be all budget headphone and that there are things quite a bit better at the price range.- NujaBlessed
