Unique Melody - export declaration?
Hi, I'm about to send my ear impressions and Shure SE530 to UM in China, for remolding. A question for those who've done this before. What did you write on the customs declaration (little green form) on the outside of the package? I think probably a description "earphones - for...- animaal

Unique Melody Remold Impressions Thread
Out of interest, what have people written on the little green "customs declaration" that gets pasted to the package that's posted to UM? I'm tempted to put "Earphones - for repair" as description, and a value of 0.- animaal

Shure SE535. Any Changes?
Sorry, but I've had my last set of Shures. I've owned my SE530 for about 3 years but only started using them a year ago, after the cable in my E4 failed (they had a reasonable life, given their price). The cable on my SE530 has now gone brittle and cracked. After contacting Shure support...- animaal

Interesting cable-quality explanation
Up to now, I've never really believed that there was any logic behind the theory that cables could make a difference to sound quality. Tonight, I was reading an article about how badly designed HDMI is. (What's the matter with HDMI). Although the article does not focus on audio cables, it...- animaal

Customs charges - details for UK Head-Fi'ers
I'd just like to add for people in Ireland that the situation is very like that in the UK - duty is about the same, and VAT is 21%. I had an "interesting" experience ordering headphones from Japan. As requested, the vendor marked the declared value down to something that would attract very...- animaal

Bluetin.com
I bought my ATH-950LTD from Bluetin. Plenty of friendly communication, and the packaging was very good (well protected) for delivery to Europe. I'd highly recommend them.- animaal

Joy! postman stopped by with my W5000! .....large pics
There's such a thrill to be had from opening a new high-end ATH. It's the fancy cases, silky lining, and wood cups. Is there any other brand that gives the same feeling of luxury?- animaal

Is it just me, or do the W1000 look the best of the lot? That combination of metal and polished wood really twists my biscuit!- animaal

Audiothechnica 950LTD
I haven't heard any AT yet, but there was another thread in the past few days, where a head-fi'er found the A950LTD very similar to the A900LTD, and both of them somewhat better than the A900. Given that most people seem to find the A900LTD more satisfying than the W1000, the A950 looks like...- animaal

K3000 on headphile!!
ATs are closed, (EDIT: Wooden ATs are closed) I guess the K1000 drivers only work well when they have open air? The picture does show a wooden, open-backed housing. I'd be tempted, if I had the cash, and if there were people on these forums giving their opinions of the sound. But these seem to...- animaal

Waiting for Shure SE210 or going with older E4 model?
I went for the black E4. I intend to have them for at least a few more years, and I have a feeling that in a couple of years, white buds/IEMs will look like a dated fashion accessory.- animaal
