USB audio cards
Hey all, I got a laptop recently and so far so good. The audio quality is about to be expected from the onboard realtek chip and obviously I'd like to move up . I've heard of the Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 which sell for about $60 cdn. I plan to use this mainly for watching movies...- jTF2

Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 vs. Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 EB
X10000 on the EBs. I actually sold them because I wanted to try something new but now I regret it. I might get another pair if I can get a great deal... bought my first, brand new for $100 non-ebay.- jTF2

Need specific jogging headphones/buds/IEM?
KSCs are superb in every way except for the foam part. They'll get soggy very quick which is why I think I'll need something like the OMX. Are there similar models to the senn series. Anyone tried the sony models?- jTF2

Need specific jogging headphones/buds/IEM?
So I plan to jog more often and I was wondering if there are any headphones out there that can do the job well with some of my concerns.. - my head/ears get sweaty very quickly.. so I'll require something that doesn't have foam and won't cover my ear completely - I would like something that...- jTF2

M-Audio Q40 Impressions (long w/pics)
Thank god for this thread! I decided to take the plunge and purchase my first real set of headphones (had a akg k26 p before). Got it on Monday and I've been very pleased with it thus far. Bass is right there and should be comparable to the D2000 judging from other user reviews. I use it...- jTF2

M-Audio Q40 or Denon D1000/1 or D2000
I can't give you a comparison of the D2000 vs Q40 but I can vouch for the Q40. Got it on Monday and I've been very pleased with it. Bass is right there and should be comparable to the D2000 judging from other user reviews. I use it primarily for movies and so sound detail is important and the...- jTF2

Best price/performance ratio for a full can? (<$150)
Thanks for the recommendations! I think I've narrowed down my choices between these - M-audio Q40 - Sennheisser 555 - AKG ad700 - equation rp-22x - Denon d1000k - DT770 DT770 seems the best choice but if I could.. I would like to save the 50-60 bucks by choose one of the top 4...- jTF2

Best price/performance ratio for a full can? (<$150)
Hello, I'm looking for a full set of headphones around the 150 USD mark but would prefer at a lesser price if the difference in SQ and bass is not all that noticable. I will be using these primarily for movies.. so I expect decent SQ and a bit of thump to it because I like a lot of...- jTF2

What IEM's or headphones are you using with your Cowon D2?
super fi 5 eb's Most people don't like them because the lows tend to drown out mids and highs... which is fine by me because I'm a bass head. Isolation is excellent and its price should be around 100.- jTF2

Ultimate Eats Super.fi 5 EB
I must say that the EB's get bad press around these parts. I dunno why because I own a pair and absolutely love them. Some minor problems I have with them have more to do with functionality than SQ such as.. - these IEMS stick out of the ears wayy too much... I suppose they would look kinda...- jTF2

Best solution for wireless option (TV to headphone)
Hello I'm looking for a device (lets name it A) that I can hook up to a television which will be able to transmit the audio wirelessly to another device (B) which can pick up that audio and I can plug a headphone into B and listen to the TV. Is there such a thing? If not... what are...- jTF2

Recommend me ~$100 IEM's
give the x3b/x3i's a chance. I can tell you that the low end is similar to super fi 5 EBs but not without sacrificing the high end that the EBs are known for. Not to mention 3x cheaper. Only problem is as mentioned, build quality. I've had mine for 6 months and I always carefully take them...- jTF2

Best sub 50$ IEMs?
I just checked out bestbuy's selection of iem and I must say, it is quite poor especially at $45~. I suggest you save the $45 and buy something when its on sale and grab yourself a pair of super fi 3s at another retailer. I wanted to recommend the x3i's by crossroads (Sold by jabennetworks)...- jTF2

Review: New Mylarones - X3i and XBi
There's only one thing I dislike about the X3i's... the crappy build/manufacturing. I'm going to regret making this purchase but the sound quality is definetly top notch. I just wish the wires, connectors were a little better built. oh well.- jTF2

UE super.fi 5EB uncrisp?
I enjoy my eb's as well. Don't listen to the haters. It comes as advertised, heavy bass but still maintains clarity although that may be hard to notice if eq isn't tweaked. As others have mentioned, UE has excellent customer service. I bought mine from ecost.com and go figure, the right...- jTF2
