Campfire Audio Chromatic Series
Since the SR35 was on sale at Addicted to Audio and having read your opinions on the combination of this and the Bonneville I just couldn't resist it. I see what you mean now it's a fabulous combination. Yes the SR35 has faults its UI isn't the quickest as others have pointed out, but my...- SteveKiwi

Sony WF-1000XM5
I've not been out in a gale, but given my 1 1/2 hours with them they were considerably better than the previous 2 versions, the Grado and Sennheiser I've owned. But each to their own of course.- SteveKiwi

Sony WF-1000XM5
I just got mine, they are so tiny compared to the two previous versions. Sound wise they are very impressive once you get rid of the provided ear tips. I had some Spinfit W1 handy so I immediately swapped after trying the standard Sony ones. I walked home, about an hour and a half elapsed...- SteveKiwi

That's interesting, I have the Duo and the Szalayi, personally I don't think the F5 is lacking in bass compared to either of them. I'm using the Spinfit W1 with the F5's btw- SteveKiwi

FatFreq Maestro SE - The King of Top of the Line Bass?
That's interesting I got a set of SendnaEarfit MAX (SS. S and MS). As part of the package from FatFreq. I'm using the MS with mine and they fit well (for me) and the sound is the best of all the tips I've tried so far.- SteveKiwi

I've not noticed any sibilance with my SE's but although I believe my hearing to be excellent I am 68, so that has to be taken into account- SteveKiwi

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
I have the universal version, they require an enormous amount of power, but I've never heard anything quite like them. It's not just the bass. The entire range is outstanding.- SteveKiwi

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
I had the same situation, I have no regrets whatsoever upgrading. For once the v2 of an iem is a genuine upgrade not just a "car industry model year" ploy to get people to shell out for the latest version.- SteveKiwi

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions
I've not heard the XE6 or KR5, so my opinion isn't completely valid, but I don't find vocals to be recessed on my NE4 (compared to other iems I have or have heard)- SteveKiwi

I only have the universal version, but I can appreciate how much you have missed them. For an EDC and the price they are excellent . Well actually they are excellent under any circumstances. FIR produce excellent iems- SteveKiwi
