Bravo Audio - funny looking little tube amps
Wow, I figured it out. I'm guessing this is a known thing- again i'm not very familiar with tube amps. Turns out my phone was interfering and causing the ticking. Everytime I place my phone within ~2-3 feet of the amp and receive a text message, the ticking starts and lasts for about 5-10...- USAstrat

Bravo Audio - funny looking little tube amps
Unfortunately, it's not any of the connections, I have already made sure of that. When the ticking starts, it's very consistent and runs at a specific bpm, as if there is a metronome running in the background.- USAstrat

Bravo Audio - funny looking little tube amps
Iv'e had a V1 for a number of months now (more than the 6 month warranty) but stupidly I didn't realize that was how long it was. I've only put about 3 hours of listening through it because it makes a ticking sound. Sorry if this has already been addressed, but the thread was too long to...- USAstrat

The NEW JVC HA-S400. Affordable Carbon Nanotube cans for the masses.
I was never that impressed with the s400's. I enjoy a very analytical/detailed sound especially in the upper and these were just never that for me. Iv'e tried them with k81 pads, stocks, and sj5's. However, I recently got the hm5 pads, they changed everything for me. For one, they are...- USAstrat

Interesting, i'll be doing this for sure. So to be clear, you've found the best sound with the k81 pads with the foam in? Have you tried taking the foam pieces out? I've got some k81 pads i'll be sure to try out, but I took out the pads long ago...wonder if that could sound better?- USAstrat

Interesting note about the headband pressure. Wonder if this is something that can be fixed/altered, as it's something we'll probably all want to do that if it makes that much of a difference and all white pairs are subject to it. Iv'e got 2 pairs or white that should be here any day...- USAstrat

The JVC HA-S500 thread.
Iv'e had the s400's on order from amazon for about 2 weeks now. In my order information, it says they expected to be delivered anywhere from november 1st to december 26th. So yeah, sounds like they don't know and hopefully it'll be sooner :).- USAstrat

UCA202 with my computer setup?
I'm a bit confused as to how to hookup my new planned computer setup. I already have audioengine a2's, and i'm planning on getting a sub and the Behringer uca202 as my soundcard/line level output. First off, does the uca202 get it's input from the usb? I was looking on amazon, and it appeared...- USAstrat

Audioengine A2 +Behringer UCA202 as DAC?
Alright thanks. I think i'm going to go with it anyways then, i'm on a tight budget. Unless, anybody has a better recommendation for cheap? Not worth it to me to spend alot of a DAC when it's only going to 200$ speakers/amp- USAstrat

Audioengine A2 +Behringer UCA202 as DAC?
I'm not quite sure how to set up my new computer stuff. Just got a laptop for college. Does the behringer uca202 function as a DAC that will give me a line level signal to feed to the audioengines? If not, what do I need? I'm looking for the cheapest option available. Thanks- USAstrat

Full-sized cans under $200
You probably don't want grado's (or Allessandro's) if you don't like a fatiguing sound. I would go for the dt770's. Pretty laid back imo, with a nice bass punch.- USAstrat

Grado warranty?
Well, I was about to go to bed when I noticed my sr-60's have broken. The little pins that the earpieces swivel on broke on one side, so the earcup has broken off. Now these are less than a year old and still under warranty, but how would I go about doing this? I suppose it may not be...- USAstrat
