Im looking for over the ear headphones that:

1. Comfortable, Im gunna be using these to study with so I want to be able to wear them for atleast a couple hours straight (like the bose on ear ones with the memory foam or whatever)
2. good bass, they dont need to be like dj headphones, but something that has decent bass becasue my computer speakers dont have any at all.
3. $150 or a little more but not much more

thanks for your guys's help ive been looking at websites all day but there are so many to look through im hoping u guys can help me out quick

There isn't a whole lot of choices for closed headphones in that range, so I'll list a few that I'm aware of that produce a decent sound.

Beyer DT770/80 ~$140 for the older version - Froogle, Ebay
Audio Technica A900 ~$180 - Audiocubes, PriceJapan
AKG K271 ~$150 - Froogle, Ebay
Denon D2000 ~$240 - Audiocubes, PriceJapan

These all produce a sizable amount of bass and are pretty comfy (although I haven't tried the K271, I have the K240 which is the semi-open little brother).

Also, please indicate whether you are using an amp for these or not, that will affect the recommendations to a degree.

Between the three I would choose the DT770/80 and save a few bucks for a portable amp like a Rockhopper mini3 to get in the near future, the bass quantity on them is quite enjoyable, and makes for an exciting listen for genres like trance, break-beat, house and other various electronica.

The A900 would probably be better if you have no plans to add an amp to your setup.

no, the pro/80 can benefit from an amp but they certainly don't need one.

The Beyerdynamic DT770 is definitely what you want. Just about $150, closed, comfy, great sound and great bass.

I just got the Audio Technica ATH-A500 for 89.99 at audiocubes.com

They're over the ear and don't leak noise. I'm happy with how they sound. Why you guys would recommend the A900's instead to him is beyond me. he said around $150 not 200.
